Describes in detail, how to assemble the throttle and install the clutch on your 79cc Harbor Freight engine.

Details the installation of the yoke assembly, throttle cable, and remote throttle connection.

After assembly:

  • Before you start the engine, be sure to fill the engine with OIL as directed in the engine owner's manual.
  • The engines' idle speed should be adjusted using the idle adjustment screw (see engine owner's manual). It should be adjusted low enough to stay running but not so high as to engage the clutch.
    • If the idle speed is set too high, the push trailer will move the bike forward.
    • Set the idle speed at the highest rate possible without the push trailer moving forward.
    • Before making throttle cable adjustments and starting the engine, be certain the cable ends are seated in the cable guides.
    • After installing the remote throttle and cable, remove any slack by adjusting the cable guide located at the remote throttle. If the throttle guide at the remote throttle is close to its maximum range (ie. it is extended to within 4 threads), screw the guide inward and use the cable stop to remove slack. This should only be needed during set-up.
    • During set-up, make sure you tighten the cable stop adequately enough to keep it in position.
    • Before making throttle cable adjustments, let the engine warm-up for approximately 5 minutes.
